Lincoln Reveals the New MKZ in Detroit

A couple of months ago, LINCOLN revealed new designs for the MKS and MKT at the LA Auto Show. And then, they teased the audience with a brief glimpse at the grille of the all-new LINCOLN MKZ. That's right, we've been waiting to see it since November, and they finally unveiled the entire new design in Detroit this week.
In LA, LINCOLN Design Director, Max Wolff said, "...we have more news in store for LINCOLN, the first of which you'll see at the North American International Auto Show in January."1 A quick pan of the new design flashed behind him, and all we could see were thinner, horizontally arranged bars with a clear split down the middle. At the time, we could only speculate that it was for the MKZ. Now, we're happy to report that the teaser was, in fact, for the MKZ, and we have more details to share with you.
It's definitely a sleek new look for the MKZ, with a (glass) fastback roof and redesigned grille. Particularly, inside the four-seater cabin, where we find a push-button transmission, open center console and crystal instrumentation. Equipped with MyLINCOLN Touch, the 8-inch LCD signals a stronger move toward more infotainment features across the lineup in the future. Wood, aluminum and leather trimming top off the impressively designed interior.
Of course, this was just the concept model presented at the show - the production model will very slightly, but LINCOLN has promised that a very similar model will go on sale within the next year.
